Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Grease square pan (8 x 8 x 2 inches or 9 x 9 x 2 inches).
    Blend all ingredients for about 20 seconds.
    Beat vigorously for 1 minute.
    Pour into pan.
    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
