Cinnamon Nut Buns(This Recipe Came From A 1936 Ashville Times Newspaper) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. shortening
    2/3 c. milk
    1/2 c. sliced nuts
    softened butter
    brown sugar
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cut in shortening with a knife.
    Stir in milk and work lightly into a dough.
    Roll out on a floured board into a sheet 6 x 8-inches.
    Spread with softened butter; sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Roll up like a jelly roll and slice crosswise.
    Place in a well-greased pan.
    Bake in a hot (400\u00b0) oven for 12 minutes or until browned.
