Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 thinly sliced zucchini
    6 thinly sliced red tomatoes
    white onion rings
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. basil
    salt and pepper
    1 c. cracker crumbs
    butter
    1 c. shredded cheese
Preparation
    In a shallow casserole dish (13 x 9-inch) layer:
    zucchini and tomatoes.
    Cover these with thinly sliced white onion rings. Sprinkle over vegetables:
    brown sugar, basil, salt and pepper to taste.
    Cover all with cracker crumbs.
    Dot with butter.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Cover and bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Remove cover and bake another 45 minutes.
