Gail'S Hushpuppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self rising cornmeal
    1/2 c. self rising flour
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 bell pepper, grated
    1 to 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 large egg
    1 small can whole kernel corn, drained
Preparation
    Mix well
    with spoon, onion, bell pepper and corn.
    Add cornmeal, flour, egg and buttermilk.
    Mix well.
    Drop by 1/2 teaspoonfuls in hot oil.
    Cook until brown.
    Drain on paper towels.
