Florida Panhandle Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. select oysters with juice
    1 large can evaporated milk (12 oz.)
    12 oz. water
    1/4 stick butter or oleo
    salt to taste
    black pepper to taste
    1 dash of paprika per serving
    oysterette crackers
Preparation
    Carefully remove flecks of shells from oysters, if any.
    Place oysters in their own juice in large saucepan, bring to a boil until oysters curl around their edges.
    Add evaporated milk and water.
    Bring to a boil again.
    Do not scald.
