Chasen'S Famous Chili, Updated - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. dried pinto beans
    2 c. canned chopped tomatoes
    1 lb. seeded green peppers, coarsely chopped
    1 1/2 lb. onions, coarsely chopped
    1 1/2 Tbsp. oil
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    1/2 c. parsley, finely chopped
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 c. butter
    3 lb. ground chuck
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. ground cumin
    1 can tomato soup
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    In large pot, wash beans; add water 2-inches above beans and soak overnight.
    Simmer in same water until tender.
    Add tomatoes and simmer 5 minutes.
    Saute green peppers slowly in oil in large pan for 5 minutes.
    Add onions and cook until tender, stirring frequently.
    Add garlic and parsley; stir well and add to tomato mixture.
