Banana Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. banana pulp
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter or oleo
2 eggs
4 Tbsp. water
2 c. plain flour
2 Tbsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mash bananas and add water.
Cream butter or oleo and sugar together.
Add egg yolks and beat thoroughly.
Sift flour, baking powder and soda together.
If using self-rising flour omit baking powder.
Sift 3 or 4 times.
Add banana mixture to sugar mixture alternately with flour.
Add chopped nuts and beat until smooth. Fold in well-beaten egg whites.
Bake in two layers and put together with powdered sugar or 7-minute frosting.
