Meatball Oven Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. hamburger
2 Tbsp. grated green pepper
1 1/2 tsp. mustard
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. grated onion
1/4 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 c. milk
1 well beaten egg
1/4 c. flour
2 to 4 Tbsp. fat
4 sliced carrots
4 cubed potatoes
1 large can tomato juice
Preparation

Thoroughly mix first 9 ingredients.
Roll into 1 to 2 inch balls.
Roll the balls in flour and brown, using the fat.
Remove the meatballs from browning pan and use the remaining flour, fat in pan and tomato juice to make tomato gravy.
Place the cut vegetables in a heavy roasting pan.
Put the meatballs on top of the vegetables.
Pour the gravy over the meatballs.
Roast in a 325\u00b0 oven for approximately 2 hours.
Takes about 1 hour to prepare.
Good recipe to put in oven before church so lunch is ready when you return home.
