Tortilla Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. chicken stock
    1/2 tsp. white pepper
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. Monterey Jack cheese
    1 c. Cheddar cheese
    1 pt. half and half
    10 oz. Ro-Tel tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. jalapenos, chopped (optional)
    chicken, diced
Preparation
    Boil whole chicken or chicken breast until tender.
    Dice chicken and set aside.
    Combine chicken stock and pepper in large pan.
    Bring to boil.
    Make a roux with butter and flour.
    When roux is smooth and thick, add broth.
    Add cheese; stir until melted.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Simmer slowly for about 15 minutes.
    Pour in bowls and top with crumbled tortilla chips.
