Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 scant c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 egg
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    2 c. flour or enough to handle
Preparation
    Roll into small balls and bake in hot oven (400\u00b0 to 425\u00b0) for about 8 to 10 minutes.
