Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. real butter
4 eggs
3 1/2 c. all purpose flour, reserve 1/2 c. for later
1 lb. orange slice candy, chop each piece into 6 pieces
1 c. pecans
1 c. coconut
8 oz. package of dates, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Toss orange slices, dates and pecans in the 1/2 cup of reserved flour.
Cream sugar and butter, add one egg at a time beating after adding each egg.
Mix soda in buttermilk and add flour and buttermilk alternately to sugar mixture.
Add
coconut, candy and pecans.
Mix well.
Bake in a tube pan at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours. This is better after it has been frozen.
