Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. applesauce
1 c. raisins (optional)

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening; add egg.
Mix together dry ingredients, then add dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
Add applesauce and raisins.
Bake in greased pan at 350\u00b0 for approximately 45 minutes.
