Old Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 large eggs
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat butter in a large bowl at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy.
    Gradually add sugar, beating well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Stir in vanilla. Combine flour, soda and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended.
    Cover and chill one hour.
    Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on a well floured surface.
    Cut 2 1/2-inch rounds. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven or until edges are lightly browned.
