Layered Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 purple onion
1/2 head lettuce
1 green pepper
1/2 c. mushrooms
1 c. frozen peas, thawed in microwave
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. celery
2 boiled eggs (optional)
8 slices bacon (optional)
Preparation

Chop purple onion; add sugar and set aside.
Layer lettuce first and then place purple onion and sugar on top of lettuce. Next, layer green pepper, celery, mushrooms and peas.
Cover the top with mayonnaise, then place shredded cheese on top.
Chill overnight.
