Italian Tomato Sauce(Great Sauce With A Slightly Sweet Flavor) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 c. chopped red onion
    1 Tbsp. minced garlic
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 (1 lb. 3 oz.) can tomato puree
    2 Tbsp. dry red wine
    1 1/2 c. freshly chopped tomatoes (plum tomatoes are best)
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    2 tsp. basil
    2 bay leaves
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Saute in a large kettle the oil, red onion, garlic, green pepper, basil, bay leaves, salt and oregano.
    When onions become clear and soft, add the following ingredients: tomato puree, tomato paste, red wine, chopped tomatoes, sugar and black pepper.
