Oslo Kringle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. butter
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. flour
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation
    Mix the first 3 ingredients like pie crust.
    Pat into cookie sheet (ungreased) in 2 strips, 3 inches wide and as long as the sheet.
    Put water in saucepan with butter.
    Heat to boiling point. Remove from heat and add flour, all at once; immediately stir until smooth (using wooden spoon).
    Stir in 1 egg at a time and beat well after each addition; add flavoring and spread on top of first mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes.
