Baked Cauliflower And Broccoli Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head cauliflower
    2 c. milk
    1/4 c. whole wheat flour
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
    paprika
    1 small head broccoli
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    8 oz. Cheddar cheese
    2 Tbsp. wheat germ
Preparation
    Cut broccoli and cauliflower into bite size pieces.
    Steam until tender, drain.
    Place vegetables in an 8 1/2 x 11-inch baking dish.
    Scald 1 1/2 cups milk in saucepan.
    Add pepper and 2 tablespoons butter.
    Pour remaining 1/2 cup milk into a jar; add flour.
    Cover and shake until smooth.
    Pour flour mixture into hot milk, stirring constantly.
    Cook over low heat until mixture thickens.
    Add cheese; mix well.
    Pour sauce over vegetables; top with bread crumbs and wheat germ.
    Dot with remaining butter and paprika.
    Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serves 6 to 8.
