Cranberry-Apple Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plus 3 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2/3 c. margarine, softened
    1 c. whole berry cranberry sauce
    Apple Filling
    1 tsp. grated orange peel
Preparation
    In large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, salt and brown sugar. With pastry blender, cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Remove 1/2 cup of mixture; set aside.
    Press remaining mixture into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Bake 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool 10 minutes.
