Ingredients

4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. water
6 Tbsp. white corn syrup
6 egg whites
1/3 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation

Mix sugar, water and syrup.
Cook to soft ball stage.
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Slowly add hot sugar/syrup mixture to egg whites, beating constantly until icing is like cream.
Add confectioners sugar.
Leftover frosting may be refrigerated, then heated over warm water to lukewarm and used as needed.
