Mother'S Easy Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. self-rising flour, sifted
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 pkg. yeast
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar and soda together.
    Cut shortening to the consistency
    of coarse corn meal.
    Dissolve yeast and mix with milk.
    Add
    to
    flour.
    Stir with fork until dough clings together.
    Knead
    on lightly floured board.
    Roll out 1/4-inch thick.
    Cut
    with
    biscuit
    cutter
    and
    fold over.
    Let rise. Bake 8
    to 12 minutes.
    Dough can be refrigerated 3 to 4 days. Yield:
    5 dozen.
