Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    1 c. celery
    1 green pepper, sliced thinly
    1 c. shredded carrots
    1/2 small onion, sliced thin
    small slices purple cabbage
    1 cucumber, thinly sliced
    1 c. frozen peas, uncooked
    1/2 c. bacon bits
    4 small eggs, hard-cooked and shredded
    2 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    In 9 x 13-inch pan layer the veggies.
    Cover with mayonnaise with sugar mixed in.
    Cover completely, especially edges. Sprinkle finely grated cheese on top.
