Pecan Tassies(Makes 24) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sifted enriched flour
    1 egg
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. soft margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. coarsely broken pecans
Preparation
    Cheese Pastry:
    Let cream cheese and margarine stick soften at room temperature.
    Blend.
    Stir in flour.
    Make into a ball and wrap with Saran or wax paper to seal.
    Chill slightly (about 1 hour).
    Shape into two dozen balls (about 1-inch).
    Place in 1 3/4-inch ungreased muffin tins.
    Press dough against bottom and sides of cup.
