Ham And Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 ham shoulder and bone
    6 to 8 potatoes, peeled and diced
    2 onions, chopped
    canned or whole milk
Preparation
    Put ham in just enough water to cover.
    Boil until meat falls off the bone.
    Remove bone, then add the onions and potatoes. Cook until potatoes are done and the water has cooked down some. Take a potato masher and squash the potatoes until crumbled, not mashed.
    Add milk.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
