Date Pecan Rocks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pecans, broken into large pieces
    2 c. dates, cut into large pieces
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. butter or shortening
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 4 Tbsp. hot water
Preparation
    Cream butter or shortening and sugar.
    Add dry ingredients and water.
    Mix well.
    This makes a very stiff dough.
    Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
