New York Pastry Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plain flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg yolk
    1/4 c. butter
Preparation
    Mix together the flour, sugar, lemon rind and vanilla in a bowl.
    Add the egg yolk and butter and blend until the mixture forms a ball.
    Put into a plastic bag or wrap in wax paper; chill for about 1 hour.
    Divide the dough into quarters.
    Butter a 9-inch spring-form pan.
    Separate the bottom from the sides.
    Roll 1/4 of the dough directly on the bottom of the pan.
    Trim the edges.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
    Cool.
