Eclair Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    4 eggs
    12 oz. cream cheese, softened
    4 1/2 c. milk
    3 (4 serving size) pkg. instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
    1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
    chocolate syrup (for topping)
    slivered almonds (for garnish)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Place the water in a medium-sized saucepan.
    Heat until moderately hot.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Add the butter and melt.
