Seven Layer Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 c. canned whole kernel corn, drained
    2 small cans tomato sauce
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
    4 strips bacon
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Place ingredients in layers in a 2-quart baking dish with a tight fitting lid.
    Start with rice; cover with corn; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Pour 1 can tomato sauce and 1/2 can water. Add onion and green pepper, crumbled, uncooked ground beef and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Pour second can of tomato sauce and 1/4 cup water.
    Cover with strips of bacon cut in half.
    Cover casserole and bake for 1 hour in preheated 350\u00b0 oven.
    Uncover and bake about 30 minutes until bacon is crisp.
