Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 stick butter
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. milk (scant)
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cut butter into dry mixture. Add the beaten egg and milk.
    Form mixture into a ball.
    Flour hands, board and rolling pin. Roll dough into a circle about 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut circle into 8 wedges.
    Prick with fork.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 15 minutes at 400\u00b0.
