Bolognese Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 3 Tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 (29 oz.) can plum tomatoes, crushed
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 c. water
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 sprigs parsley, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. basil
Preparation

Put the oil, onion, garlic and parsley into a 2-quart saucepan.
Saute slowly.
Add ground beef, salt and pepper to taste, oregano and basil.
Saute slowly, stirring often, until meat is brown.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste and 1 cup water. Simmer slowly, uncovered, for approximately 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
