Stewed Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 ears corn
    2 to 3 c. water
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 stick butter
    garlic powder
Preparation
    Cut top layer of corn from cob.
    Scrape remainder of corn from cob.
    Mix corn and other ingredients and pour into skillet. Simmer on low heat 40 to 45 minutes; stir frequently.
