Chicken Chop Suey - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 chicken breasts, cubed
1 15-ounce can chicken broth
3 cups water
3/4 cup celery, chopped
3/4 cup onion, chopped
2 15-ounce cans bean sprouts
1 6-ounce can water chestnuts
freshly ground pepper, to taste
soy sauce, to taste
3 Tbsp. olive oil
1 cup water for gravy
1/2 cup flour for gravy
Preparation

In a stock pot, heat olive oil. Add and brown chicken. Add onion and celery and cook until slightly tender. Add chicken broth and 3 cups water, and bring to a boil. In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup water and flour for gravy. Slowly add gravy mixture to the boiling pot to thickness desired. Add pepper and soy sauce according to taste. Simmer all ingredients until celery is tender. Add bean sprouts and water chestnuts.
Continue simmering until sprouts and water chestnuts are heated through.
Serve over white rice or mashed potatoes.
