Christmas Pepper Jelly - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. ground sweet red & green peppers
    1/2 c. ground seeded jalapeno peppers
    6 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
    6 oz. liquid pectin
    green food coloring optional
Preparation
    Combine peppers and divide into 2 parts. In 1/2 of the peppers stir in 1 c. of sugar.
    In a saucepan, combine the peppers and sugar mixture with vinegar and the remaining sugar; boil this for 10 minutes.
    Add the other 1/2 of the peppers and pectin; boil for an additional 10 minutes.
    Pour into jars and seal.
    Serve over crackers with cream cheese.
    Yield: 8 cups.
