Grandmother'S Corn Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. onion
    1 qt. tomatoes
    1 qt. sugar
    1 qt. vinegar
    1/4 to 1/2 c. salt
    12 ears corn, cut from cob
    hot pepper
Preparation
    Peel and chop the onions and tomatoes.
    Cut corn from cob.
    Mix all ingredients and cook slowly until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
    Do not let it stick.
    Put in hot jars and seal.
