Wade Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk, scalded and cooled
    4 c. sifted flour
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
    Blend together the sugar, salt and shortening.
    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
    Add lukewarm milk and yeast.
    Gradually add flour, mixing thoroughly until a smooth dough is formed.
