Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (9-inch) pie shell
1 c. fresh strawberries
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 c. or more sliced strawberries
Preparation

Simmer 1 cup berries in 2/3 cup water for 3 minutes.
Drain and save juice.
Mix sugar and cornstarch in 1/3 cup water; add to strawberry juice.
Bring to boil; stir and boil until thick.
Add salt and red food coloring.
Place sliced berries in baked pie shell (crust.).
Pour glaze over and chill.
Serve with whipped cream.
