Chicken Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole stewing hen
    1 c. diced onion
    1 c. diced celery
    1 c. diced carrots
    1 c. peas
    1 c. rice or noodles
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a large kettle seasoned with salt and pepper, simmer chicken in water until tender.
    Remove meat, debone and slice in bite sized pieces.
    Return to kettle.
    Add vegetables and rice or noodles.
    Cook until done.
    Serve with soda crackers.
    Straining and omitting the rice or noodles makes a rich chicken stock.
