Strawberry Nut Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
1 c. boiling water
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced strawberries, thawed
1 lb. 4 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
3 medium bananas, mashed
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
1 pt. sour cream
1 head lettuce (optional)
Preparation

The day before or early in the morning you can begin.
In a large kettle or bowl, combine gelatin with boiling water, stirring until dissolved.
Then fold in all at once, strawberries with juice, drained pineapple, bananas and nuts.
Turn half of strawberry mixture in 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish as a first layer and refrigerate until firm, about 1 1/2 hours.
Then evenly spread sour cream.
Gently spoon on rest of strawberry mixture and refrigerate.
Just before serving, cut in squares and serve on lettuce leaves.
Serves 12.
