Marjorie Whitfield'S Devil Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 eggs
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. cake flour, sifted
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda in milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 blocks unsweetened chocolate
Preparation
    Cream sugar and Crisco.
    Add eggs, beating until creamy.
    Add chocolate mixture.
    Beat on low the flour and buttermilk mixture alternately.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cook in two 10-inch greased pans for about 30 minutes.
