Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. cocoa
    2 egg yolks, beaten lightly
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. milk
    4 Tbsp. (heaping) self-rising flour or 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Mix well the sugar, cocoa and flour (or cornstarch).
    Beat lightly the egg yolks; add 1/2 cup milk and beat lightly.
    Add this and the 1 1/2 remaining cups milk to dry mixture and stir. Put on high burner until strikes a boil, stirring constantly, then turn burner to medium and continue stirring until it thickens.
    (Make sure it is very thick.)
    Boil about 1/2 minute. Remove from burner and add flavoring.
    Let cool to warm.
    Pour into ready-baked pie shell.
    Top with meringue.
