David'S Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. whipping cream
    1 qt. half and half
    5 eggs, separated
    2 envelopes Knox gelatine
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 qt. milk
Preparation
    Heat egg yolks, half and half, Knox gelatine and salt (not to boil).
    Cool this overnight; add fruit when cool.
    Whip egg whites and cream until stiff.
    Add to the cooled mixture after adding fruit or vanilla.
    Put in freezer.
    Can add milk to top of ring. Follow ice cream freezer directions.
    Always add fruit after mixture is cooled.
