Seafood-Tomato Sauce For Pasta - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans whole tomatoes
    6 oz. can tomato paste
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. dried basil
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme
    1 lb. scallions or 1 lb. peeled shrimp
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 box spaghetti or rice
Preparation
    Combine undrained tomatoes (chopped), tomato paste, onion, oregano, basil, red pepper, garlic powder and thyme.
    Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
    Cook, uncovered, over medium-low heat for 10 minutes or until mixture thickens slightly, stirring occasionally. Add shrimp/scallops and green pepper.
    Cook, uncovered, 10 minutes or until shrimp are no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
    Serve over spaghetti or rice.
    Makes 6 servings.
