Scalloped Carrots - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small onion, minced
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. celery salt or seed
1/8 tsp. pepper
12 sliced, cooked carrots
1/2 lb. processed American cheese slices or Cheddar
Preparation

Cook minced onion in butter 2 or 3 minutes.
Stir in flour, salt and dry mustard.
Reduce heat to very low and add milk.
Cook until thick, stirring occasionally. Add celery salt and pepper. Arrange carrots and cheese slices in layers in buttered 2-quart casserole, beginning and ending with carrots.
Pour sauce over. Top with crumbs.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until golden.
