French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. onions, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3 c. consomme (beef)
    3 c. water
    6 slices French bread, toasted and buttered
    4 Tbsp. butter
    6 slices Mozzarella cheese
Preparation
    Brown onions in butter\tAdd
    salt, pepper, consomme and water. Cook for about a half
    hour.
    Remove from heat and put soup in bowls.
    Then add toast and top with cheese.
    Put under broiler until cheese is melted.
    Serves 6.
