Crystal Garden - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. water
1 tsp. ammonia
charcoal
colored inks

Preparation

Mix salt, water and ammonia together.
Pour mixture over several small pieces of charcoal in a small bowl.
Put several drops of colored inks on various parts of it and leave undisturbed for several days.
Crystals will form into interesting formations, growing and sprouting every day.
It will be white where no ink is used.
