Lemon Cake Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3/4 c. sugar (heaped)
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 eggs, separated
    1 c. milk plus 1 Tbsp. juice and grated rind of 1 medium lemon
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine butter and sugar.
    Cream well.
    Mix in flour and blend.
    Add egg yolks and mix well.
    Add milk, lemon juice and rind.
    Blend in mixture until smooth.
    Beat egg whites with salt until stiff but
    not dry. Fold into mixture.
    Pour into buttered baking dish (9-inch square or 6 x 9-inch).
    Place in a pan of hot water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until top is slightly brown.
    Let cool.
    Cake will rise to top and pudding to the bottom.
