Grannie Turner'S Ole Style Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large, fresh, fat hen, cooked tender
    1 large pan cornbread
    3 slices bread
    3 or 4 saltines, crumbled
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    onion, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
    12 boiled, chopped eggs
    a little sage
    1 pkg. chicken gizzards, cooked and chopped
    1 pkg. seasoned bread crumbs
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    4 or 5 chicken livers, cooked and chopped
Preparation
    Mix well all ingredients.
    Put plenty of stock in mixture. Taste until it suits your taste.
    When the dressing is in the pan, drizzle a little bacon grease on top.
    You have to keep tasting all along to make sure it's seasoned right.
    Don't forget to cut up the chicken and put it in the mixture.
    If you would like, you could saute the celery and onion until they are tender, then it won't take as long to cook.
