Fried Okra - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. okra
1/2 c. corn meal
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 to 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Preparation

Slice okra into 1/2-inch rounds.
In a paper bag, combine corn meal, salt and pepper; add okra and shake.
Fry in hot oil until okra is browned.
Drain on paper towels.
Preparation time:
10 minutes.
Cooking time:
15 to 20 minutes.
Serves 4.
