Venison Shanks With Herbs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 venison shanks (about 2 1/2 lb.)
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1/2 c. water
    1 garlic cover
    1 Tbsp. parsley
    1 Tbsp. marjoram
    1 tsp. basil
    cooked noodles
Preparation
    In a heavy skillet, brown shanks on all sides in 1 tablespoon butter.
    Add 1 1/2 cups water and salt.
    Cook, covered, over low heat for 1 hour.
    In a small skillet, add flour to 2 tablespoons butter; cook and stir until flour is brown.
    Stir in 1/2 cup water until smooth.
    Add to meat and stir until smooth.
    Add herbs. Cover and cook slowly 1 more hour until meat is tender.
    Add more water during cooking if needed to maintain a good gravy.
    Place shanks on a bed of hot cooked noodles.
    Spoon gravy over them. Serves 4.
