Congealed Buttermilk Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1 large box Jell-O (your choice of flavor)
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 large container Cool Whip
    1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Heat pineapple; add Jell-O and stir until well dissolved.
    Let stand until cool.
    Add buttermilk, Cool Whip and nuts.
    Stir until well mixed.
    Pour into mold or pan and chill until firm.
