Japanese Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. sifted plain flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. raisins
    1 lb. mixed fruit
    2 small cans cherries
    1 small can crushed pineapple
Preparation
    Mix the mixed fruit, cherries, pineapple, raisins and nuts; set aside.
    Cream margarine and sugar together.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Sift all dry ingredients together.
    Combine with fruit mixture.
    Add to batter; mix well.
    Pour in 3 (8-inch) cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until sides leave pan.
